Description
From a series of programs labelled "Kiowa Songs rendered and translated by John Bosin. John Bosin is a Kiowa, now resident in Grand Rapids. He married an Ojibwa woman and has two adult sons living in Muskegon--accomplished dancers. Though the Michigan Indians saw Oklahoma dances in Detroit, they did not become proficient in the songs and dances until 1965 and 1966, under the tutelage of Bosin. Bosin says he wishes to learn Algonquian songs, but has not done so."
